This itinerary follows the same three-park route as our 4 day Tanzania safari - Tarangire, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater - but adds a second full day in the Serengeti. That extra day matters most if the migration is in the area during your travel dates, since it gives your guide room to reposition around wherever the herds are rather than covering the park in a single pass.

Dry season (roughly June-October) concentrates wildlife along the river and is generally considered the best game-viewing window; wetter months see animals disperse more widely across the wider ecosystem.
