Tour Overview
This round-trip safari starts and ends in Nairobi, so there are no one-way flights to arrange. You begin in the Masai Mara, cross into Tanzania to explore the Serengeti, then visit the Ngorongoro Crater before re-entering Kenya at Namanga and finishing with two nights in Amboseli beneath Kilimanjaro. It's four world-class parks in eight days, with the variety of two countries and a different landscape every couple of days.

Best Time to Visit
The Mara has resident wildlife throughout the year. For the wildebeest migration and river crossings, July to October is the classic window, though exact timing shifts year to year with rainfall. The calving season further south in the Serengeti (January-March) means fewer wildebeest in the Mara itself during those months, though resident game viewing remains good.
Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from your 8 Day Kenya & Tanzania Safari?
That itinerary is one-way and ends in Arusha. This Grand Loop returns you to Nairobi via Amboseli, which is more convenient if your international flights are in and out of Nairobi.
Do I need visas for both countries?
Yes, most nationalities need entry permission for both Kenya and Tanzania. Check the current requirements for your passport before travelling - we're happy to advise.
